Schwabacher's At Sunrise
Schwabacher's At Sunrise
"Schwabacher's At Sunrise" - This is a well known photo op spot and I wanted to make a pic there as I was passing through but only had one morning to get the image. I was there by myself (which is unusual) for about 30 minutes finding the spot I wanted before one other photog showed up and we said hello in polite hushed tones before he went off and found his spot. We both got to enjoy this great sunrise and then the crowds descended, groups, buses and packed cars led a stream of people to a spot that just moments before had been our own quiet solitude. I don't begrudge them the view but I did sort of miss that peace and quiet. The part I found truly annoying were the photography groups where the instructor didn't explain anything to his students but just set the settings for them - had them press the shutter release - and then moved along. Talk about the difference between giving a man a fish or teaching him how... Anyways, I got to enjoy it for that morning and then went and caught the barns at Mormon Row and then had breakfast of flapjacks and bacon at Dornan's so it wasn't a bad day at all. I hope you enjoy.
